Star Systems has provided Sound for Musical Theatre for many years. We work with both professionals and amateurs in Irish theatre and have especially strong links with many companies in AIMS (Association of Irish Musical Societies)  and are pleased to say that we have been working with some of those  companies for more than 25 years. Visiting the west end on a yearly basis we ensure that we are up to date at all times not only with equipment but with Sound Design and Audience Sound Awareness.  

 

Star Systems can provide PA Systems to suit venues both large and small. We have worked in many Irish theatres, from the Grand Opera House in Belfast to the Cork Opera House in Cork and from the University Concert Hall in Limerick to the Theatre Royal in Waterford.  We have also worked in the Olympia and Helix in Dublin, the wonderful Wexford Opera House in Wexford and the INEC in Killarney.

Star Systems has provided sound for many shows from “The Pirates of Penantz” to “Les Miserables” to “Hairspray”.  Our personalized service is second to none, we work closely with both the Director and Musical Director to achieve a sound which is first and foremost audible, in a natural or punchy fashion depending on the requirements of the show. We also have an extensive library of Sound Effects at our disposal.

 

Star Systems also has a strong tradition of working with many Schools in Ireland, where our technicians always give their services in an educational manner to encourage the development of the students in both artistic and technical fields. We often take-on Transition Year Students for Work Experience in the fields of Sound and Video.

 

Star Systems has a long established link with the Waterford International Festival of Light Opera providing Equipment and Operation when desired.   

 

Probably our favourite Festival of the year is the Kilkenny Cat Laughs which takes place on the June Bank Holiday Weekend every year in Kilkenny. Star Systems has provided Sound for many Cat Laughs venues each year and has a developed great friendships and contacts during the festival and all done whilst laughing!! What more could you ask for!!
